| Program Overview |
The Cultural
Heritage Development Fund (CHDF) is a Connecticut Humanities Council
administered granting program.
The Cultural
Heritage Development Fund:
- Provides technical assistance support to hard-pressed
small and medium-sized heritage organizations for strategic planning,
collections assessments and staff training.
- Provides planning support that enables heritage organizations
to augment staff resources with outside consultants to effectively
develop interpretive programs for the public.
- Provides substantial financial support to the heritage
community for the construction and marketing of exhibitions, orientation
films, walking tours, re-enactments, lecture series and other
programs that bring Connecticut's rich past to the public
- Provides 3-year startup funding for staffing positions
that fill a critical need as identified through strategic planning.
