Kate Steinway is the Executive Director of the Connecticut Historical Society Museum & Library.  She previously served as the Society’s Director of Exhibitions and oversaw the creation and production of a number of major history exhibitions, including the 6,500-square-foot “History is All Around Us” installation at Connecticut’s Old State House and the 2,000-square-foot “Amistad: A True Story of Freedom.”  She is a former board member of The Connecticut Humanities Council, The American Historical Print Collector’s Society, and The Hartford Architecture Conservancy.  Ms. Steinway holds a M.A in Art History from The University of Chicago and an M.A. and B.A. in Art History from Smith College.
