John is the Community Development Coordinator for the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism in Hartford, CT.  He is developer and manager of the Local Arts Agency Cultural Leadership program which provides grant support and professional development to the state’s regional cultural service agencies.  He also develops and manages the Peer Advisor Network, a program that provides cultural and humanities organizations with short-term consulting assistance.  John previously served as an executive director of cultural organizations, designed and managed arts education programs, directed his own fine art gallery, was an independent curator, co-founded and directed an urban arts festival and has been a consultant.
