Briann G. Greenfield is an Associate Professor of History at Central Connecticut State University where she administers the Public History Program. She received her Ph.D. in American Civilization from Brown University and a M.A. in Museum Studies/American Civilization, also from Brown.  Briann has worked for several museums and historical societies including Slater Mill Historic Site in Pawtucket, RI, and Historic New England and currently serves as a board member for the Connecticut Humanities Council. Her first book, Out of the Attic: Inventing Antiques in Twentieth-Century New England, traces the rise of the modern market for antique goods and is forthcoming summer 2009 from the University of Massachusetts Press.
