ExhibiTricks (Web log)

Want to add the sound of rain drops falling or a lion roaring to your exhibition, but don't know where to look for good, free digital files?

Looking for advice about the best types of adhesives to use on painted walls without leaving sticky residue behind?

Need a free, on-line photo editing tool?

If you are a curator, exhibitions preparator, or employee of a small museum who does a little bit of everything, you can find answers to all these questions (and much more!) at the ExhibiTricks blog.

Paul Orselli started ExhibiTricks in 2007 and with it a valuable resource for curators and exhibit designers was born.

ExhibiTricks shares, "'Tricks of the Trade' about Exhibits (and Museums) [and provides] useful information and resources for exhibit design and exhibit development."

It is most certainly the place to visit for resources, ideas, tools, and advice on the creation and installation of museum exhibitions.

For more than 26 years, Orselli has worked to create inventive science museums and playful children's museums; In 2001, Paul started POW! (Paul Orselli Workshop.)

An offshoot of POW!, the ExhibiTricks blog demonstrates and shares Paul's creativity, design talents, and collaborative resources to help museums and other cultural institutions develop innovative exhibit components, exhibitions, and educational programs.

Check out ExhibiTricks today and be sure to sign up to receive updates of new posts via either his e-mail or RSS feeds.
