CHC Announces Big Changes to the Heritage Revitalization Fund
In response to the tough financial challenges that cultural institutions continue to face, we are pleased to announce new, streamlined guidelines for all grant programs.
Highlights include:
- Raising the ceiling for discretionary grants from $5,000 to $10,000;
- Suspending (through November 2011) our longstanding requirement that a portion of the matching funds must come from an external (third party) cash match;
- Limiting the mandatory application attachments and number of pages; and
- Reducing the amount of required copies.
In addition the new guidelines feature:
- Broader, more flexible parameters (including grant support for staff);
- Funding to plan for organizational stabilization; and
- Encouragement for you to re-envision and position your organizations for the future.
New Deadlines:
- Major Grants: (Proposals seeking more than $10,000) the first business day of February, May and November.
- Discretionary Grants: (Proposals seeking up to $10,000) the first business day of March, April, June, July, September, October and December.
