9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Keeler Tavern Museum & Garden House
Ridgefield, CT
Learn from three of your colleagues how they plan and conduct fundraisers and most importantly how to know when it is time to change venues. Keeler Tavern board president Cheryl Growl will discuss the "Painted Lamb Contest," which will be in progress and other fund raising events at Keeler Tavern, including tavern nights. Ginney Dilk, education director of the Coventry Historical Society, will explain their annual seasonal Halloween event, a major fundraiser for the society. Judith Kelz, director of the Glebe House Museum and Gertrude Jekyll Garden, will discuss how they have diversified their fundraising and how to know when it is time to put an event "to bed." A fundraiser market place will follow with attendees sharing fund raising ideas. A tour of Keeler Tavern will end the morning. Morning refreshments provided.
Cost is $15 for members, $25 for non-members.
