CHC Providing Scholarships for 2011 NEMA Annual Conference
Has it been a while since you last attended a New England Museum Association (NEMA) Annual Conference? Are you new to the field and have never been to a NEMA conference?
The CHC wants to help.

This year, NEMA's Annual Conference comes to Connecticut and takes place in Hartford from November 16-18, 2011, at the Hilton Hartford Hotel. To make sure that as many Connecticut museum professionals as possible can attend this fantastic professional development opportunity, the CHC is funding 10 scholarships to support full-conference registration expenses for paid staff members of Connecticut museums and historical societies.
The Connecticut Humanities Council Scholarship is one of several scholarship opportunities available this year to make attending NEMA's annual conference more financially accessible (full description of CHC Scholarship below). In all, NEMA is offering six different scholarships to help support travel, lodging, and three-day registration for individual members of NEMA and employees of NEMA institutional members.
The deadline for all scholarship programs is September 23, 2011.
Applicants will be considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Applicants for the four named scholarships who are not successful will automatically be considered for the NEMA Professional Development Fund.
All applicants will be notified of final award decisions in early October. In the event that your application is unsuccessful, NEMA still will allow you to register at the early-bird rate at any time before the conference begins.
