CONNECTICUT HERITAGE REVITALIZATION FUND
PLEASE NOTE: Effective March 1, 2010, the limit for discretionary
grant applications has been
increased from $5,000 to $10,000 with no external cash match. Please
continue to use these guidelines for all grant applications
but note the increase to $10,000 for discretionary grants. We seek to provide the state’s heritage organizations with the capacity to step back from accustomed ways of fulfilling their mission and review “best thinking” and practices in the museum field. Our primary goal is to assist the heritage community in translating those reassessments into a revitalized programming agenda that will enlarge and engage their audiences, bring Connecticut’s rich history to a broader public and create a foundation for organizational stability and sustainable growth. The CHRF combines three former CHC granting programs—the Cultural Heritage Development Fund, Humanities in the Schools and Heritage Advancement Program—under a common monthly and quarterly application deadline. In general, major project categories eligible under these discontinued grant lines are now eligible for funding under the CHRF. Application Deadlines:
