READING PROGRAMS
Literature for a Lifetime
The Humanities Council's Literature for a Lifetime program offers adults throughout the state an opportunity to come together at a local library to discuss great books, share ideas and opinions and explore the many relationships between life and literature. Participating libraries may select from a menu of over 48 theme-based discussion series focusing on current bestsellers, compelling chapters in Connecticut and American history, and great themes in literature, all conducted by a humanities scholar. The Council provides books, discussion guides, the services of the discussion leader and covers up to 75% of the program's cost. Visit Things to Do to find Literature for a Lifetime book discussion at a library near you.
