Book Voyagers is a statewide family reading program for elementary and middle school- age children that helps build a lifelong habit of independent reading for pleasure and insight. Based both in libraries and after-school programs, Book Voyagers' curriculum spans award-winning classics old and new, and covers a wide variety of topics and themes.

In libraries, the Council covers up to 75% of each program's cost, provides the services of a skilled discussion leader, and copies of books, discussion guides and promotional materials. Book Voyagers after school programs are provided free of charge to hosting schools.

Book Voyagers has been recognized by the Connecticut Library Association for contributions to library services for children.
